Volunteering

Why volunteer?

Volunteering can be a life changing and rewarding experience! It can not only make a real difference to your life but also to those of the patients, staff and visitors here at Livewell Southwest.

It can help increase your confidence through learning new skills, meeting new people and being part of a team.

You may have used one of our services and feel that you would like to give something back to Livewell Southwest, or you may simply want to use your knowledge and skills to benefit others - whatever your reasons for volunteering with us, you'll be making a valuable contribution to our work.

We have a wide range of opportunities from befriending patients to helping with filing and welcoming patients and visitors in reception areas. You can spend just a few hours helping out in the gardens or a few days a week supporting training courses. Due to the nature of our work, all volunteers are required to have recruitment checks; this may include having a DBS check depending on the role, providing two references and undergoing an occupational health screen. We will provide you with the necessary support to ensure that this process is as smooth as possible.
