Complex CAMHS Multi-Disciplinary Team

Complex CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service) Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) is a service for children, young people and families with significant, severe, complex or persistent emotional, mental health, psychological and / or relationship difficulties. This could include:

  • Anxiety / Mood disorders
  • ADHD / ADD
  • Self-harm
  • Eating disorders
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder
  • Post traumatic disorder
  • Psychotic disorders

The service offers support to children and young people from ages 5 to 18 years.

The team members include a range of mental health professionals and specialists who are trained and experienced in working with young people and their families. These include:

  • Mental health practitioners
  • Nurses (mental health / paediatric)
  • Art / family / CBT therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Psychotherapists
  • Pychiatrists

If you are a young person or parent of a young person and have concerns about their mental health, please seek a consultation with your GP who may then refer you to CAMHS.

Referrals can also be made by:

  • Child and Family Social Services
  • Paediatric Services
  • Health Services
  • Educational Services
  • Third Sector Providers
