New Horizons is the name for a therapeutic group course provided by the anxiety & depression service (Plymouth Options) for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. There are separate groups for male and female clients.
The groups follow a loose structure with relevant themes and supportive materials. They are not disclosure groups for talking about the details of abuse, but the aim is to provide a supportive space to explore the impact of abuse on clients’ lives and to empower survivors to move forward with self-acceptance.
All courses are free of charge and available to people 16 years and over who are registered with a GP surgery in Plymouth. You need to have an active referral with the anxiety & depression service (Plymouth Options) to attend.
