South Hams Musculo-Skeletal Physiotherapy

The Musculo-skeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Team provide assessment, advice and treatment for a wide range of MSK complaints including:

  • Spinal pain
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Fractures
  • Postural and Muscular pain
  • Post Orthopaedic surgical rehabilitation

The team are based within South Hams Hospital, but also work out of local GP surgeries including:

  • Modbury Health Centre
  • Salcombe Health Centre
  • Yealm Medical Centre
  • South Brent Health Centre
  • Wembury Surgery

As well as giving advice and treatment, the Physiotherapists aim to provide information on your condition and where possible, provide you with the tools to help self-manage. Websites which can also provide assistance are listed on this page.

Sometimes, it is not always possible for the Physiotherapist to help you resolve the problem, and in these circumstances they may have to refer you to your GP or the local Secondary care provider (e.g. Hospital Orthopaedic Team).

The team accept self-referrals and the form can be found on this page. We also accept referrals from South Hams GP’s (Those listed previously, Norton Brook Medical Centre and Chillington Health Centre) and other local healthcare providers. Please bear in mind, we only expect referrals where you are registered with a South Hams General Practice Surgery.

Self-referrals can be emailed to: [email protected]
