Tavistock Musculo-Skeletal Physiotherapy

,

The Musculo-skeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Team provide assessment, advice and treatment for a wide range of MSK complaints including:

  • Spinal pain
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Fractures
  • Postural and Muscular pain
  • Post Orthopaedic surgical rehabilitation

The team are based within Tavistock Hospital and also provide a clinic at Bere Alston GP surgery once a week.

As well as giving advice and treatment, the Physiotherapists aim to provide information on your condition and where possible, provide you with the tools to help self-manage. Websites which can also provide assistance are listed on this page.

Sometimes, it is not always possible for the Physiotherapist to help you resolve the problem, and in these circumstances they may have to refer you to your GP or the local Secondary care provider (e.g. Hospital Orthopaedic Team).

The team accept self-referrals from West Devon registered patients and the form can be found on this page.  West Devon GP’s include Abbey Surgery, Tavyside Surgery, Yelverton surgery, Lifton Surgery and Bere Alston Surgery.  We also accept referrals from Gunnislake and Callington Surgeries and other local healthcare providers.
