There is a difference between feeling a bit low from time to time and a serious emotional health problem.
Livewell Southwest’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service can help you if you are aged between 5 – 18 and are experiencing difficulties with your mental health. We have dedicated CAMHS teams for different treatment problems. These can include anxiety or mood disorders, ADHD/ADD, neurodiversity, self-harm, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic disorder, and psychotic disorders.
CAMHS Early Help Pathway is the single point of access for all referrals into CAMHS. We can offer consultation, assessment, and support. Click here or on the image to find out more about CAMHS Early Help Pathway. Click on the button below to ask for support.
We also provide an advice and support line. It’s open from 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday, for anyone registered with a Plymouth GP. You don’t have to be open to CAMHS to call the advice line. We offer advice, support, signposting, resources and can support with completing a self-referral.
Call 01752 431613.
Please note: This is not a crisis line. If you are in crisis, please contact First Response on NHS 111 (select the mental health option) which is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are at risk of causing yourself harm, please call 999 or visit your local A&E department.
Health for Teens is a website which helps young people aged 11-19 to learn about their health. It features bite-sized information on a comprehensive range of physical and emotional health topics, including healthy eating, body image, managing stress, advice on relationships, puberty, sexuality and much more. You’ll find movie clips and quizzes, and is easily shareable via social media.
Health for Teens is not about managing serious illnesses, for which more specialist websites already exist, but we’ve signposted to them where they are applicable. All content has been produced by school nurses, a whole range of other health and wellbeing experts, and most importantly young people. The content published on this website is evidence based health information in line with NHS standards, including NICE Guidelines.
