The West Devon ASC Pathway offers assessment to children and young people aged from 5 to 18 years who are suspected to have an Autistic Spectrum Condition.
This assessment may consist of:
- A neurodevelopmental case history
- A specialist speech and language assessment
- An Autistic Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) – a formal structured play-based assessment.
In conjunction with the clinical assessments highlighted above, we would also access and discuss your child/young person’s medical records, information from education and any other relevant professional reports/letters in our multi-disciplinary team meeting to formulate whether your child/young person hasmet the diagnostic criteria for autism.
