Wellbeing Hub

12 Wellbeing Hubs will open across neighbourhoods over the next two years as part of an initiative designed to focus on prevention and make services easier to access.

Plymouth’s Wellbeing Hubs have four main aims:

  • To improve the health and wellbeing outcomes for local people
  • To reduce inequalities in health and wellbeing
  • To improve people’s experience of care
  • To improve the sustainability of the health and wellbeing system

The offer of every hub includes health advocacy, debt advice, mental health support, opportunities to volunteer, employment advice, and signposting of local and citywide providers of health services, voluntary and community sector activities.

As well as the standard offer, the Cumberland Centre Specialist Wellbeing Hub can offer specialist mental health support, help with managing long term conditions, and support for carers. The Hub also benefits from a wide range of services already on offer at the Cumberland Centre, including minor injury services, community therapy services and sexual health.
