Tell us what you think
We welcome feedback from people that have used our services and friends and family who are providing support to those in our services.
We want to provide the best possible care and support. To do this, we need to know what we’re getting right and where we can do better.
Your feedback, whether it’s a compliment, a suggestion, a complaint, a concern or general comments helps us to improve our services for everyone.
How you can give feedback
You can share your views in whichever way is easiest for you:
- The Friends and Family Test – this short survey is how we receive most feedback from patients, service users and family members. It is required by the CQC. Online, SMS, paper and accessible formats are available on request. Watch a video about the Friends and Family Test.
- Some of our mental health services take part in national surveys. These are sent by post to eligible participants.
- The Care Opinion website is another way you can share your views.
- Submit your feedback to Healthwatch and through the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Make a complaint or raise a concern with our Customer Services team. You can also say thank you by sending compliments about staff and services to our Customer Services team.
- Patient stories – we welcome stories from patients, relatives, and unpaid carers about their experiences of care. These help us to celebrate good practice and learn where we can improve. If you would like to take part, please email [email protected] or call 01752 435502.
- Co-production – we involve people with lived and living experience in anything we do, from designing leaflets, to improving conditions on a ward or making decisions about how care is given. Visit our co-production page to find out more.
If you need support to share your feedback or would like it in another format such as another language, large print, Easy Read, or something else, please get in touch with us by email at [email protected] or call 01752 435502.
What happens after you give feedback?
Once your feedback is received, it’s shared with the relevant team and manager for review. If your comments highlight areas for improvement, we encourage teams to follow a Quality Improvement process to explore and implement changes.
While we aim to act on as much feedback as possible, certain suggestions may fall outside what can be achieved within our existing systems or resources.
When feedback isn’t anonymous, we’ll do our best to let you know how it’s been used and whether it’s led to improvements.
Feedback is handled in confidence and won’t influence the care you or the person you support receives.
Live Patient Feedback
This shows live, anonymous feedback from people who use our services and their unpaid carers (friends and family). This is generated through the completion of the Friends and Family Test surveys. Comments are shown in real time as people complete the survey.
Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to share your views. Every piece of feedback helps us to make our services better. If you’d like to become more involved in feedback, please visit our co-production page.
