Desensitisation
Desensitisation can help people with Autism spectrum Condition (ASC) learn to tolerate and cope with situations they find challenging and cause them anxiety, examples may be, getting a haircut, brushing their teeth, going to the doctor or dentist or getting used to busier environments. Desensitisation techniques involve gradual, predicted and consented exposure to the anxiety to reduce its impact.
