Livewell Southwest would like to reassure members of the public that Tavistock Hospital remains open as usual.
The hospital runs a number of outpatient clinics, surgical procedures and has an inpatient unit. We would ask those with appointments to please make sure they still attend.
University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHP) has confirmed that the minor injury unit (MIU) at Tavistock Hospital will be closed for three months (until Tuesday 5 November 2019) due to staff shortages.

Patients who would normally use the MIU at Tavistock are advised to use the MIU at the Cumberland Centre in the interim or call NHS 111.
