Can you help Livewell Southwest care for those who need support?

by | 30th March 2020 | News

Livewell Southwest is inviting people to come forward for a range of roles in the next two weeks as we plan ahead to continue to care for and support people as part of our response to Coronavirus and COVID-19.

As the local provider of community and mental health services as well as community hospitals, we’ve already taken steps to ensure the most vulnerable people are supported and our services are focussed on providing those essential services while keeping our staff safe.

We’re increasing staffing levels in some roles to enable us to be as resilient as we can be. Now we want to hear from people interested in returning to work in clinical roles and others who feel they want to play a part in providing essential support to people in these difficult times.

We’re looking for people who have previously worked in healthcare, and those who haven’t but have the relevant potential and transferrable skills. We’re not reaching out to those who are already working for another hospital or health and care setting.

Who do we want?

Health and care assistants
Qualifications or previous experience aren’t necessary – what’s important are your values and attitude towards working with people and patients who need care, and your ability to cope in challenging environments.

Health and care assistants assist with a wide variety of tasks which could include personal care, medication, carrying out clinical observations, assisting with nutrition, drinking and washing, completing paperwork and reassuring patients and their relatives.

We’re looking for people who can communicate effectively, are compassionate, courageous and resilient at a time of uncertainty and change and who relate easily to people.

We are offering temporary and permanent roles, and a range of working patterns to fit in with people’s commitments.

Registered Nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists
We’re inviting Registered Nurses, physios and occupational therapists who aren’t currently working to get in touch and have a chat about coming back to work.

And it could be the start of a great career in health and care.
