Livewell says thank you to staff with Extraordinary People Awards

by | 2nd October 2020 | News

The excellence of staff at Livewell Southwest CIC was celebrated at its annual awards ceremony on Thursday, 1 October.

The Extraordinary People Awards are Livewell’s way of saying a big thank you to all of our hardworking colleagues, and gives us a chance to recognise their fantastic achievements, particularly in response to the global pandemic.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and to help keep our staff safe, this year’s ceremony was held virtually.

Adam Morris, Chief Executive, at Livewell, said: “I’m so proud of how incredible people across Livewell have all been over the last few months; I’m beyond grateful to everyone for doing their best to keep the people using our services safe. I’m also humbled by how we have looked out for each other.”

This year’s categories were based on our five values; Kind, Respectful, Inclusive, Ambitious and Responsible, and were open to both individual and team nominations.

In addition to our value-based categories we also had The Mary Seacole Award, to recognise an individual delivering high quality and compassionate health and care.

Dawn Slater, Director of People and Professionalism, added: “This year has shown the best of all of our staff in their determination to provide compassionate care in challenging times, and to work together to support each other and the people we care for. That is why these awards are even more important than ever, to thank them for everything they do.”

A panel including the senior leadership and staff from across the organisation agonised over more than 400 entries before selecting the winners.

Due to the record-breaking number of nominations this year, and the calibre of entries, three finalists were chosen for each category instead of one overall winner.

Each finalist was presented with a beautiful gift hamper during a socially-distanced presentation from a member of our executive team.
