Rebecca Jones, Senior Occupational Therapist with the South Community Therapy Team was recognised last week by the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) South West Peninsula Network for her outstanding contribution to an MND patient’s care.

Tracy Thomas, speaking on behalf of the network, said: “You’re a star! As one of our valued colleagues supporting Motor Neurone Disease patients, we wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your hard work.

“Here in the MND South West Peninsula Network, we know what a difference really high quality care can make. With this in mind, we have created an award to say a special thank you to Health and Social Care Professionals like you.

On behalf of the Network, thank you for your commitment, care and compassion to people living with MND.”

Rebecca received an Outstanding Care and Support Award certificate recognising her efforts, and South Community Therapy Team Lead Claire Phelps added to her praise: “I echo what has been said, as Becca’s care toward this patient and her family went above and beyond, and the family were truly grateful for her support.”
