The Livewell Foundation, grant giving foundation arm of Livewell Southwest, has today announced its next tranche of £100,000 funding available for the voluntary sector in the Plymouth and surrounding areas.

The Livewell Foundation is the charitable arm of Livewell Southwest CIC and distributes charitable funds to support services including the Mount Gould Local Care Centre, Plym Neuro Rehab Unit and mental health services in Plymouth.

The  Foundation also enables Livewell Southwest to fulfil its community interest status by distributing funds to fantastic causes and initiatives across Plymouth and South West Devon.

Earlier this year, Livewell Southwest gifted a significant donation of £100,000 to the Livewell Foundation, which is now inviting charities, groups and third sector projects to bid for a share of the money.

Applications must be linked to meeting at least one of Livewell Foundation’s aims of: improving health and wellbeing, reducing mental and physical ill health and/ or reducing social isolation.

Organisations or projects applying for funding must also be operating from within the following post code areas: PL1-PL10 inclusive, PL16 and PL19-21 inclusive, TQ7, TQ8 or TQ10.

Applications can be for up to £1,000 for small grants or up to £10,000 for large grants.  The closing date is 5pm on 14 January 2022, with funds expected to be awarded by end of February 2022.

Craig Hampton-Stone, Chairman of the Livewell Foundation, said: “We are delighted to receive such excellent, continued support from Livewell Southwest.  The donation of £100,000 will go a long way in supporting numerous organisations across the voluntary sector who are working to improve health and wellbeing, prevent ill health or reduce social isolation.  We have already received some exciting applications and we look forward to receiving more between now and the closing date of 14 January 2022.  Our last tranche of funding which was released earlier this year was set to impact more than 6,000 people in our local community – we look forward to spending down on our tranche 3 funding to support those who need it most.”
