Our School Nursing team supports the health and wellbeing of children aged 5–11 and their families.
We work in partnership with schools, parents, and carers to promote healthy development, identify concerns early, and provide advice on a wide range of physical, emotional, and developmental health topics. School Nurses can offer guidance, reassurance, and signposting to other services when needed, helping to ensure children are happy, healthy, and ready to learn.

Hearing
The school nursing team conducts hearing screenings for children. If you would like your child to be assessed, you can submit a Request for Help form through your school or access it directly on our website. Following the screening, if any concerns are identified, a referral to the Audiology Department will be made as appropriate.
Managing Challenging behaviours
All children and young people can show challenging behaviour at times.
This might include anger, aggression, refusing to follow rules, or withdrawing.
These behaviours often happen when a child is struggling with their emotions, routines, or other difficulties.
With the right support and strategies, families and schools can help children manage their feelings in safer and more positive ways.
