Perinatal wellbeing

This course consists of 5 weekly sessions each lasting for 1.5 hours.


This is a virtual course designed for those who are perinatal or up to 2 years post-natal.


This course provides techniques targeted at thoughts and behaviours to help overcome low mood and anxiety in the framework of perinatal wellbeing.


This is a structured course with a focus on the here and now.


This is an experiential group. Facilitators will introduce new ideas each week and then ask questions about how they can relate and be implemented, and then check in each week about how the implementation is going.


This course is not about talking about your past problems or specific examples but instead focusing on learning tools and techniques to implement in the here and now.



Session overview:

Week 1: Introductions, CBT cycle

Week 2: Identifying and working with avoidance.

Week 3: Identifying and working with unhelpful thoughts and worries.

Week 4: Working on communication, assertiveness, and sleep.

Week 5: Progress maintenance and next steps.
