Crop Gardens is a green space in the heart of the city of Plymouth offering Horticultural Therapy, promoting mental wellbeing.
We are opening our doors on Saturday 30th June to celebrate 70 years of the NHS with a variety of stalls and activities for both children and adults, based around food craft and education.
We hope to raise £500 to develop a quiet relaxation room and a wood working area at Crop.
Craft Stalls: Selling arts and crafts items produced at Crop and by other local craft artists.
Plant Sales: Selling plants sown or propagated at Crop.
Tamar Grow Local: A social enterprise promoting sustainable local food production in the Tamar Valley.
Duchy College: Offering education and support in art and horticulture.
Horticultural Healing: Offering horticultural therapy for people living with mental health issues.
Drake Sailing Club: Charity enabling people with disabilities to experience sailing.
Gates open at 10am.
Tea Shop open from 10:30am until 3:30pm selling tea, coffee, cold drinks and a selection of homemade cakes.
Barbecue from 11am until 2pm serving burgers and hotdogs.
Workshop at 11:30am – learn to plant and arrange a hanging basket. Take your finished basket home (workshop places are limited to 10. Cost per place is £10 in advance or £15 on the day. To book a place email [email protected] or call 07789 342249)
