by | 8th April 2021 | News

Dr Adam Morris, Livewell’s  Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed Interim Chief Executive at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Trust and is due to take up this post at the beginning of May for a period of six months.

In his absence, Michelle Thomas, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, will step up to become acting Chief Executive with Geoff Baines, Director of Safety and Quality, supporting as Deputy Chief Executive.

Adam, who is a GP by profession, has been Chief Executive at Livewell Southwest for 3 years.  Adam also successfully led the clinical team that established the Exeter Nightingale. Prior to this, he was a Medical Director at Livewell Southwest and Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care NHS Trust.

Adam will support Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Trust for six months while the Trust launches its search for a permanent Chief Executive Officer. He is very much looking forward to working with staff and partners to continue the Trust’s improvement journey.

Adam said: “It is a huge privilege to have the opportunity to work with 4500 dedicated colleagues and the population of Norfolk and Suffolk in helping the Trust build on the progress recognised this year by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

“However, I have never been more proud of working at Livewell than I have over the last year and in my new role I will be highlighting the amazing achievements, learning and growing we have accomplished whenever I get the opportunity to do so, in the hope of inspiring and encouraging others.”
