First Response 24/7 Helpline

Livewell Southwest’s First Response Service is a 24/7 crisis line providing advice, support and signposting for people experiencing mental health difficulties.

If you feel worried about your mental health or that of a loved one or a friend, you can call the crisis line on NHS 111 (select the mental health option).

Who is this crisis line available to?

First Response is available to anyone in Plymouth at the time of experiencing a mental health crisis.

You do not need to be an existing service user of Livewell.

Just call us on NHS 111 (select the mental health option)  if you need help 24/7.

Other health and care professionals can contact First Response on 01752  434135 if they need advice when working with an individual experiencing mental health difficulties or would like to refer someone.

What happens when I call?

Your call will be answered by a mental health practitioner who will be able to listen to your concerns and help you get the support you need.

You might be given advice over the phone or signposted or referred to another of our mental health services or for support from one of our partners.

You might also be offered a virtual consultation via our Livewell Connect app.

What about children and young people?

We now have one single number for our mental health first response service which means any child or young person under the age of 18 in Plymouth experiencing a mental health crisis can contact our 24/7 urgent response line by calling NHS 111 (select the mental health option).

 

What if I live somewhere else in Devon?

Call the crisis line on NHS 111 (select the mental health option) and you will be connected with the appropriate service in your location.
