New Year, New You?

by | 2nd January 2020 | News

Every January, millions of us resolve to make changes to our lifestyles. Whether you want to move more, eat well, stress less or be smoke free, Livewell Southwest’s Health Improvement Team One You Plymouth can help you take the first steps towards your healthier lifestyle.

The free Eat Well programme provides the tools to make informed changes to your diet, with weekly sessions including motivational support, hands on activities, and resources to take home with you. Further support includes a 4 week healthy cooking course plus access to free and subsidised activity sessions.

Specialist One You Plymouth practitioners can provide the support you need to help you become smoke free, with a range of free nicotine replacement therapy as well as behavioural support on offer. You are four times more likely to quit for good with support, and our practitioners will continue to offer support until you feel completely confident to remain smoke free.

Regular walks are free to attend and cater for all ages and abilities. Being active has lots of benefits for both your body and mind, and a group walk is a fun and friendly way to meet new people. You don’t need to register to take part – simply turn up on the days you are free and able to attend.

A free NHS health check can help people aged between 40-74 to spot the early signs of conditions such as high blood pressure and heart disease and prevent them from happening, and training courses can help you to help those around you to live a healthier life.

If you’d like support to lead a healthier life, please call 01752 437177 or email [email protected] to book your appointment.
