Friday 11 March saw Livewell Southwest join our colleagues at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust for a recruitment fair at Plymouth Argyle Home Park Stadium.

Steven Elford, People Experience and Development Manager, said: “The event was a great success for Livewell and we certainly had the A-Team with us on the day, with colleagues from district nursing, inpatient mental health and the new William and Patricia Venton Centre looking to fill roles.

“The event was billed as recruiting for Band 2 and 3 healthcare assistants, and we came away having interviewed and filled 20 vacancies!  This was largely down to our values-based approach, and outstanding support, guidance and tenacity from our colleagues.

“On that note, I want to say a huge thank you to Chloe Kay from our Recruitment team, Marie-Helene Arti, leading our Professional Training & Development team, Stacey Jolly with the People Experience and Development team, and Bob Drysdale who not only came along to support but also kept everyone fed and watered.

“I also want to thank our senior leadership team for their support in the lead up to event, ensuring we captured the right vacancies at the right time. We’ll be planning more events like this in the future.”
