Help us improve services for people by sharing your views on ’talking therapies’

by | 9th August 2022 | News

Here in Devon, we’re making changes to the way we deliver community mental health services to ensure that services are more-joined up, easier to access, and meet the needs of the different populations we support across the county.

These changes are known nationally as the Community Mental Health Framework.

A key element of delivering the changes is speaking to and involving people who use our services, their families and carers to get your views and feedback so that we know the changes we’re making reflect your needs.

As part of the Framework, we are reviewing what’s known as community based psychological services. Psychological therapies are sometimes referred to as ‘talking therapies’. They involve exploring psychological difficulties that are getting in the way of how we would like to feel.

We would like to ask for your help with the review by encouraging to share your feedback, experience and views in this short survey by Friday, 19 August.

Your feedback will help us to consider how we best meet the needs of people who need to access services.

It will also help us to build a picture of current services, which will be used to make recommendations to support change within the healthcare system in Devon.

This will help to ensure we can:

  • improve services
  • improve access
  • close gaps and remove barriers

On this topic, please help us think/ think outside the box when completing the questions in the survey.

Please note all of your answers will be treated as confidential and the survey is anonymous. Should you wish to be involved further, there is an option to share your email address with us at the end of the survey.
