Adult Speech and Language Therapy

Adult Speech and Language Therapy

Adult Speech and Language Therapy is the assessment, treatment and management of acquired communication and swallowing disorders in adults over the age of 18, both in community settings (homes and care homes) and in hospital.

We work with people who have difficulty in understanding others, talking, reading, writing or swallowing both in one to one therapy and in group therapy settings.

You can be referred to the community team by asking your GP, by your consultant or by the multi-disciplinary team working with you if you are an inpatient.
