Out of Hours Mental Health Care

Out of hours mental health care provision for 18-65 year olds follows different pathways, depending on whether or not a person is already known to mental health services.

Self-referrals of people not known to mental health services – needing an urgent response.

Self-referrals can be made to the 111 telephone service.  Calls will signposted to the most appropriate agency.

Where an emergency response is required due to the nature of the problem it may be appropriate to call 999 for assistance or to attend the Emergency Department at Derriford Hospital.
